Christian Doctrine

This course introduces the core beliefs of the Christian faith, including God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, Scripture, salvation, the Church, and Christian living. It equips local preachers to teach sound doctrine and defend the faith with clarity and humility.

Church & Society

This course helps candidates understand the Church's role in society and the Christian responsibility for justice, peace, compassion, leadership, and community transformation. It prepares local preachers to connect biblical faith with real-life social issues.

New Testament

This course focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the mission of the early Church, the writings of the apostles, and the message of hope in the New Testament. Students will learn how to interpret and preach New Testament texts in today’s context.

Methodist Studies

This course examines Methodist history, identity, beliefs, and practices, with special attention to John Wesley, Methodist discipline, mission, discipleship, and service. It helps local preachers understand and teach the Methodist tradition faithfully.

Old Testament

This course explores the major themes, people, books, and events of the Old Testament. Students will study God’s covenant, law, wisdom, prophecy, and history as the foundation for understanding the Christian faith and God’s saving work.

Liturgics

This course introduces students to the worship life of the Methodist Church, including order of service, prayer, sacraments, hymnody, and the meaning behind liturgical practices. It helps local preachers lead worship with reverence, confidence, and theological understanding.
